Browsing the contents of this database is unrestricted for all registered users.
The reuse of existing and entry of new data into VANIS is authorised exclusively for non-commercial, research, and educational purposes. Any other form of reuse and distribution of data stored in VANIS, irrespective of format or medium, is permitted by explicit consent of the Institute of Art History and the partner institutions or individuals who enriched its content with their research data.
Software scraping is strictly prohibited and will be treated as a violation of intellectual property rights according to Croatian and European legislation.
For datasets created and analysed using VANIS, it is recommended to assign a DOI identifier and store them as an independent data object of scientific value in the Institute of Art History data repository or any other data repository institution, compliant with FAIR principles of data reuse and sharing.
Researchers using VANIS are obligated to cite the system in their scholarly publications and to acknowledge the Institute of Art History as its owner.
